A Commitment to Care: Our Buyer Agreement
At CK Poodles, every buyer is required to sign an agreement as part of their puppy adoption process. This ensures that all parties are aligned in prioritizing the health, safety, and long-term well-being of each puppy.
The agreement outlines important responsibilities, such as spaying or neutering by a specific age if the puppy is purchased as a pet-only companion. It also includes health guarantees, care commitments, and a return policy if unforeseen circumstances prevent you from keeping your dog.
This agreement is a reflection of our dedication to ethical breeding practices and providing loving homes for our puppies. By signing, you're committing to being a responsible and caring pet owner—and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Overview of Spay/Neuter Agreement
By signing the spay/neuter agreement, buyers commit to ensuring their puppy is spayed or neutered by 12 months of age and providing proof of the procedure to the seller within 30 days of completion. This is essential to uphold the terms of purchasing a pet with no breeding rights.
Failure to meet this obligation will result in a breach of contract, and the buyer will be required to pay $5,000 for full breeding rights. This ensures the agreement is honored and safeguards the integrity of the breeding program.
Additionally, the contract includes:
A return policy: If the buyer can no longer care for the dog, it must be returned to the seller, regardless of the dog's age, with no refund or replacement provided.
A health guarantee: Puppies are guaranteed to be in good health at the time of purchase and come with up-to-date vaccinations and deworming. Buyers must have the puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 48 hours of receipt to maintain the health guarantee.
A replacement policy: If a life-threatening genetic defect is found during the initial vet exam, the buyer may return the puppy for a replacement of equal value, though cosmetic defects or non-life-threatening issues are excluded.
